The music of the trio BATIK stands on the crossroad of cultures. A Burkinabe singer and kora player, a Polish player of Indian tabla and a French double bassist with a jazz background — three individuals linked by the same love of music and ound of their three instruments. Their music is based on the ancient repertoire of African traditional songs, each musician adding the subtle touch of his own musical experience in order to create a unique acoustic sound. They play songs about ancestral African kings, daily life and love. Their performances are filled with joy and positive energy.
